How did you like your MCO?

Post by OTTOBON » Sun Feb 20, 2005 11:59 pm

I liked my MCO before things got wacky, before test center, before Cobras, before all that, just simple, relitivly balanced, rediculously fun gameplay that you COULD take sereisly, i think the very end bieng the time when the T/A was teering up Goosepoint Muscle D, and the AAR Cuda was out for my tuning pleasure(which turned out to be more of a pain, but o well haha)

just wondering, i love RL imports(NOT rice burners) but the whole v8 powered supra and eclispse thing was just dirty

anyways when did you feel most at home?

I'm with you on that one. Before the BS tires and 427 Ford Powered Mitsubishis.

I really like pre slicks. Though I had great times right til the end. Cobras were great fun against other Cobras.

I liked it best from Test Center on. That was where I started meeting people and racing them online.

I never cared for the cobra, but I did enjoy the eclipse. That was one of the funnest cars in the game.

I finally got my mach 1 down to 3:31's at BAGP then the cobra came out. Got that damn thing down to 3:10 and that was one fast run.

I remember making the Wheelie cars.

Maxing a 327 in a rusty 32 for T-bird, when 315's didn't even exist

Flathead Mayhem with the boys from The Kingpins/ Br00d/ 404

My rusty '49 merc on MCC =P~

Ahhhhh, I miss those days.

Watch out for the phone booth!

I rememeber trying for ages to get a good run in Sponsored Industrial Flats.. you had to run it at night, backwards in the rain with one of the shitty Sponsored cars. I tried for hours to make the cut as rarely did ten people even make the cut off time. Then one day just as I start my run, I get a phone call and am talking to a buddy while racing.... dammit if I didn't get the best time of the week! Still don't know how I pulled it off.

Ah yes. Wasn't it E Class Dusters?

That was the most fun.

The D Class Chevelles races were a blast.

I never could drive very fast, but slow the cars down with a reasonable class and they were a lot of fun.

I loved Skoggit

I still miss my churches there.

Random B and D Class almost any track.

Favorites were with my D class AMC AMX or my B class Judge... Westbrook, Spillway and Skoggit.

I LOVED MCC Class A. Mach1.

Friend got into a wreck at the beginning at the tunnel. Had a screen shot that looked like he was driving on the ceiling of the tunnel. MIB style.

Too bad when he came down, he landed on me.

I thought MCO was the best before the "test install" button was introduced. Everyone had a different "recipe" for making power. Some of us even sold our recipes. Back when the 327 was king. I ran a Choped 57 at the drags and was only beat once or twice. I won a many a pink-slip races with that car. I also made a many a enemy. People calling me Cheater and claimed I used NOS even when I didn't. I ended up starting over and not going back to the drags again (until the 8-Ball came out).

I can't say I had a favorite time overall. it was different degrees of fun throughout. Early on it was class racing, later was unlimited, and a whole mix of stuff in the middle. Never did get into the test center much.

running with any number of friends was always good for a night of fun, no matter what was run... :)

i'm starting to lose parts of it here and there. :( I miss it.

My favorite times in MCO were the first times, when i got creamy over a 327 powered bel-air. Thats when the game was most fun in my opinion.

When a special paint job really was special.

When i was in a club (i cant recall the name) that was fantastic, we just raced, and won, and had a good time. MS-viper was one of the head fellas in the club, and also the wealthiest person in all of MCO at the time. I later decided he was using macros to win his cash, who knows though i guess.

Spent hours just working on setups on different cars.

Used to love running hazard in any car, suped up Edlorado on trioval was also fun. But Vert fenderless 32 coupe with a 400 cleavland on Red light had to be my favorite.
