I just tested it and the link works fine.
I'll edit this post with some pics to guide you in just a few.

Zer,

A thousand "thank you's". I'm an idiot and the pictures helped a ton. Now I'm wrestling with NetFrame issues but I think I can get figured out with the help of a friend. I'll report back with progress.

You'll need netframeworks 3.5 installed first, if you install the newest netframeworks first, for some reason it throws an error with the car builder(personal experience).

If you have already installed netframeworks 4, you'll have to uninstall it, install NF 3.5, then run the car builder before installing NF 4

On the re-fired forum.

I think Blitz is waiting till everything is wrapped up in one easy to use Installer package and testing before going full public with it.

Zer

Thanks for all the help, its very much appreciated. I have it running but now I have to get the car builder installed. I have my fingers crossed for the day when we can have a hosting server once again for MCO!!

Best Regards,

Tex

I just got it installed, but the start-up screen is HUGE, I'm getting approx. 1/4 of the window and am unable to progress, how do I cut the size back on this thing?

Try updating your graphic card's drivers.

What system are you running it on?

Windows 7 64 bit, drivers should be up to date. The old debug worked fine for me last year.
Its acting like I'm running a lower resolution than the game is running, but I'm at 1920x1080

The max rez you can get the game to run in Win7 is 800x600.

Sounds like it may be an issue with Refired and your resolution. Check your PM's.

I had that happen before too..

I can't remember if I uninstalled then re-installed re-fired, or if I did something with the options.ini of MCO??

Try going into the options.ini and run it windowed, in other words, under the graphics section of the options, make it a 1, and try again.
If that doesn't work, try re-installing re-fired.

Ok got the "refired" working but it wont launch a race. I have no cars anywhere in the any of the pull down menus. Do I need the carbuilder program or just the latest Online.DB? Mine is dated from 2003? :hello:

Thank you!

You'll have to point the Re-Fired program to look for the online.mdb that should have been included somewhere in the zip/rar file.

In the options of Re-Fired, set the MCO folder to where yours is located. Mine is C:\Program Files\EA Games\Motor City Online\Data\DB

Also you will have to run the game at least once, close re-fired, and restart it before it will allow you to select different cars.

Check to make sure both the MCO Retail CD and Re-fired Program are in the same program files folder.
