MCO Reflections

Post by Jmann » Sat Jan 24, 2004 3:35 am

Post your MCO Reflections..

Metro lonely road, night has come let the world be told,
I'll beat this track and hell be froze, I've come to grips
with glory road.
In the night no peds scream in fright, they hide in their
windows I rule the night, no police to bug me, no clock to
punch, just my pedal and metal and occasional crunch.
Tho no rubber to smell, my motor screams well, tho no
feel of the hopin, my eyes are not stopping, left, right,
stop and go, I miss the nights, that lonely road ~

Once night falls, pedestrians gone
A roar erupts, the race is on
Four gearheads in their machines
Taking the win by any means
Down the spiral to the Spillway
Noone wants to lose today
Its neck to neck their motors screaming
In the night their old cars are gleaming
They streaked so fast through the town
But now its time to turn around
They whip their cars across the line
Hoping not to kill their time
They hook it quickly and go again
To go back where they just began

( yeah I know its only half the race, shaddep :) )

Motor City's Lost Citizens

I've resently come to the realization, I abused
and mis-treated this poor lost civilization.
I mourn their loss now, though I did them wrong,
you never know what ya got till it's gone.
They were unique as you may know well, they jumped like
tigers, and ran like gazeles, I always wondered why,
as they would scream and hide, why they allowed us to
buy such murderously wonderful rides?

John Perry... what a wanker...

I used to race him too, amazing how he would be friends with anyone who was faster than him ;)

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who get depressed and teary eyed when i look at the mco screenshots. I remember driving my '57 vette at metro strip, before there were slicks of course, and finally getting a top ten time out of it. I was so happy. I can still remeber the setup to the whole car. I only wish i could still drive it. Oh by the way, allow myself to introduce..... myself. I was Thunderjet on Uptown, I also played on Midtown for awhile. I remeber during the ending of MCO me and BcRoFt would do animal house quotes during races just to see if we could get people to wreck. "She was going to pot for me," was a pretty good one for that. Anyways, I geuss I'd better stop talking before i make your heads explode.

You know I never boil over on forums, but you know what the more I think about MCO the madder I get.
I play alot of different racing games, mostly a 5 year old game
called Sports Car GT, my web site is dedicated to it. Here's a EA
game I payed probably $10 for off the rack, lots of guys still
play it, make tracks and cars for it, and race it with their friends.
Now MCO, I payed $40 for the first disk I believe after playing
the beta for a couple months, $10 a month for a couple months.
THEN I bought 4 more accounts, PAYING $50 A FRICKIN MONTH
I was so addicted to this game. So several months of that and who
knows how much frickin cash I gave EA and I can't even play single
player by myself and the disks are frickin coasters.
You ripped us off EA, and you can say stop crying in your beer
bla bla bla BULLSH.T, they owe us one. It's just too bad it never
became as popular as doom or quake cause someone woulda
cracked the codes by now and we'd be swaping cars damnit!
